Useful Information
The whole site is a very private space and not overlooked, set in its own corner of our beautiful wildflower meadow. Easily accessible from the M5 and A303. An ideal spot from which to explore Somerset and the surrounding counties of Devon and Dorset or just simply wind down and relax round the fire pit and gaze at the stars.
We provide:
The kitchen, shower room and toilet are all modern and fully fitted. There are pots, pans, crockery, fridge, freezer, etc. It’s all here waiting for you.
We provide a complementary starter pack of Kindling, Logs and Charcoal. Additional wood can be purchased at £5 per bag; or you can provide your own.
Due to the ongoing situation with Covid – we highly recommend that you bring your own bedding. If this is not possible, we can provide a bagged bedding set at £5 per bed.
What to bring
Yourselves, friends and family. Your personal items, food and drink and towels for the shower. We have local farm shops, and also all the usual supermarkets in Taunton and Bridgewater. You might like to bring cycles, board games, musical instruments – but nothing too loud or you won’t hear the birds.
Parents and Safety
Because the site is in the countryside the ground is uneven in places, however there are paths so no particular hazards. We also have a pond which is fenced off from the site, but could be a danger to small children – but only if they enter our private garden through closed gates.
Babies
We can provide a cot and also a high chair – but not bedding. Push chairs can be stored undercover in the barn.
Dog Friendly
We welcome your canine chums and have direct access to wonderful dog walking. We have dogs of our own so we understand the importance of your doggie family members – but you will need to talk to us before you book.
